As previously reported the Entry Access system (FOB) stopped functioning on Thursday morning in the Windsor. In almost all cases our technical team can resolve the situation quicky, in this instance the problem was much more serious resulting in a call out to our outside Contractor to carry out repairs. The problem was isolated to a major component which there is not readily available spares. At present the contractor anticipates at least a week before a compatable unit (no original server computer available) may be available. For the Windsor residents – at least a week more of no FOB access.
The following is for the technically minded. Chelsea Gardens does not have one Access system, rather there are four separate systems, Each apartment has a stand alone system and the clubhouse incorporates one system. Each system is capable of operating on its own. Our present acccess system is old, hard to find replacements, is not easily supported (very few contractors want to service this system) thus research is ongoing to identify a replacement system .
